Resources

Step 1 – Get Connected!  It is so easy as men for us to just do our job, 9-5 (or longer), have a drink with our friends and then head home, but never really get connected or ask those deeper questions.  So – get connected!

Here are a few potential resources for getting connected:

  • Your local church – ask to speak to a pastor and get connected to a mentor in the church.  And/ or join a men’s group at church.
  • Calvary Chapel
Calvary Chapel (and many other) churches often have a specific men’s ministry you can get connected to.
  • Men’s Fraternity
Men’s Fraternity provides a clear and structured way to discuss men’s issues, and get connected with a band of brothers.  Their site also shows places where men’s fraternity courses are currently being run – get connected!  Or start your own!

Step 2 – Learn and Improve!  Hey, no one is perfect – in their relationships, their own lives, in anything.  But the good news is, there are resources out there that show you how to understand God’s love for you, how to understand that there is nothing wrong with how you are feeling – that’s how God designed you, and even how to better understand women – and have a great relationship!

Here are a few great books we have come across:

  • The Holy Bible
This is the foundation of everything.
  • Wild at Heart
Tremendous book explaining that yes, God did make Men different, and that we as men serve God best when we serve God as Men.
  • Love & Respect
How many books discuss openly how Men need respect?  This one does – this is an eye-opening perspective which Men and women have found incredibly helpful in their relationships.
  • What to Do On the Worst Day of Your Life
The day Russell died was the worst day of our lives.  This book has helped us through it (and the Godly wisdom contained therein).   It can help you, too.
